My Mission? To help you give even better care to your medical patients.

I’m on an unstoppable mission to get veterinary nurses and technicians to further their knowledge and develop new skills so they can help their patients in new ways.

I really believe that being fully utilised and able to do more practically is key to retaining nurses, improving job satisfaction, and enhancing the public’s awareness of our role - and medical patients provide us with so many opportunities to do this!

That is why I am committed to sharing information on different diseases and the hints and tips I’ve picked up during my time caring for these patients. You can find all of that on the podcast, blog, Facebook, and Instagram pages.

But that’s not all. If you want to go deeper, there are a few ways we can work together to make even more of a difference to your patients and career…

The Medical Nursing Academy

My signature program, the Medical Nursing Academy, is a medical nursing CPD platform like no other.

It’s the home of the Academy Awards in Medical Nursing - two courses that provide you with the knowledge you need to deliver exceptional medical nursing care, and the practical tools and support you need to implement what you’ve learned.

The academy combines on-demand fundamental and advanced video curriculums with monthly live calls, case studies, journal clubs, test-yourself quizzes and an unlockable practical skills hub.

It also includes access to the Medical Nursing Community, a discussion forum where members learn and grow in a supportive environment. Here, they celebrate their wins, reflect on their nursing care, discuss cases, share ideas, and seek support.

And, on top of all of that, it’s RACE-accredited!

Cost: from £500; payment plans available for self-funding students.

The Academy-on-demand Library

If you want to up your medical nursing skills but you’re not ready to commit to one of our Academy Awards in Medical Nursing, then the Academy On-Demand CPD Library is for you.

This ever-updated library is home to hours and hours of medical nursing webinars and interactive workshops, all priced at £30 or less.

You can expect to leave each session:

  • Understanding how different diseases affect the body and the signs we see in our patients as a result

  • Confident in which tests we perform to diagnose complicated medical conditions and how to interpret and understand the results

  • Knowing exactly which treatments we commonly use in our medical patients, what they do, and the considerations for those treatments

  • Understanding how to plan tailored nursing care that really makes a difference to your patient - considering their specific disease

  • Feeling more confident about caring for your medical patients

  • With a list of new practical skills to start putting into practice (and the knowledge of how to do just that!)

Quick-Reference Resources

Feel like medical nursing is too complicated and there’s just too much information to remember? You’re not alone - which is why I made my own set of pocket guides!

Let me deal with the theory and just give you the information you need to nurse your medical patients easily - so you can stop worrying about complicated diseases and know exactly how to plan your nursing care.

The VIMN pocket guide range helps you manage your medical patients from admit to discharge and beyond.

It breaks down different diseases, diagnostic tests, anaesthesia and treatment considerations, and teaches you the practical nursing skills these patients benefit from - as well as the things to think about when caring for them.

And if you’d prefer to go paperless, you can snag a digital version instead!
